TRY LOCAL, A VERY GOURMET EVENT

JANUARY 25, 2022 - JUNKI'S RIVERVIEW RESTAURANT- TROUTDALE, OREGON

Try Local is a program developed by Gresham Chambers of Commerce and sponsored by Gresham Ford. The idea is simple: try local and shop local, support local businesses and display their products and services.

Chocolate-e Inc was chosen for the January Try Local, for a tasting experience, not just a simple chocolate tasting. It's always difficult to explain that our chocolate was designed for being savored, not eaten.
Our best pitch is not a good word selection but a real tasting of our six different single origin chocolates. Once you go through the tasting experience you understand what we mean; when your eyes sparkle, we know your palate is happy and our chocolate did its magic.

It was a great event and everybody had a good time. See for yourself!

The event was hosted by Junki's-Riverview Restaurant; thank you Ryan Hampton for your welcoming and help all evening long.

Jeanyves & Norm, co-founders of Chocolat-e.

Six single origin tasting bites, four Dark ones (Madagascar, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Ecuador) leveled at 72% and two Dark Milks (Belize 47% and Brazil 43%).

Six different chocolates, six different smells. To smell is the first step to understand the concept of Terroir, the origins of the cocoa beans. The area where the cocoa is grown is key to the chocolate aroma.

Try Local is sponsored by Gresham Ford. But more precisely by Bess Wills, an eminent figure of the community. Thank you Bess for your support.

And special thanks to the Gresham Chambers of Commerce, represented on the picture below by Angela! Next to her, meet Aubrie, our talented photographer.
